CHC NEWS 2016 # 1

All CHC Senior Players (Ladies & Men) who have high aspirations for the new season are invited to attend a “Top Hockey” presentation by Kurt Cerfontyne at the Club House, Vygieskraal on Tuesday, 19 January 2016 (19h00-21h00).

This session is mainly  for Senior Players (Ladies & Men) who are no longer at school and  CHC Coaches.  Managers and Exco Officials are welcome to attend.

Kurt Cerfontyne is a SAHA HP Coach who has been involved in the high performance environment at national and provincial level for several years, which includes  a six-year stint with Maties Hockey.  He believes it is imperative that CHC coaches and players  'don't get left behind' in light of the manner in which the game is evolving at elite level. CHC players need to keep pace and be assisted to cope with the demands of Top Hockey in this province. This initiative has the support of CHC coaches and has been endorsed by CHC Exco.

Managers & Coaches -- please  get the word around to all Senior Players (Ladies & Men) who fit the profile (including potential new members).

Vygieskraal Hockey Complex, like many facilities throughout the City of Cape Town, has been subjected to a spate of vandalism during the December / January period.  Official security measures are limited and not able to cover the situation 24 / 7.  We therefore rely on  ALL CHC MEMBERS (particularly those who live in the area) o be our “eyes and ears” to supplement limited official security measures.   If you happen to be passing Vygieskraal at any time and observe any  irregular /  suspicious looking activity, please inform CHC ADMIN.

Looking forward to a productive Pre Season 2016!
